The project is the result of collaboration with an interior design company, Corrado Bevacqua’s Cobedesign studio in Montecarlo.
A special boat, not only from a the style point of you but also in terms of easy manouvring and sailing with smaller crew – easy sailing.
The hull features medium/light displacement, a high stability ratio and slender bow design to guarantee the most comfortable passage over the wavers as well as comfortable sailing. The evolutionary chine of the stern means increasing length at the dynamic waterline, directional stability and top performance. It has a retracting keel with carbon fin and step and draft of 2.0 to 3.2 metres operated by hydraulic power unit. This type of keel makes use and mooring in the port much easier without compromising performance while sailing. If we want to talk about aesthetic, it doesn’t invade the space inside but only an area inside the dinette table.
To be usable a sail boat needs first and foremost to be simple and automated. This is possible thanks to the hydraulic main sheet control, concealed electrical halyards and electrical winches and windlasses.
Among the many details of this project we cannot fail to mention the concealed anchor that comes out under the hull.
Styling, carried out in collaboration with Corrado Bevacqua’s CoBeDesign studio in Montecarlo, is rational and minimalist, guaranteeing and enhancing the high-tech feel of the whole vessel. The choice of materials and colours follow the same simple lines, for the outmost elegance refinement and practical use.
Interiors have been divided while looking at every tiny detail. In the bow section the vessel has one bathroom, a double cabin with twin beds, double entrance and double wardrobes. The doors to this cabin convert to wardrobes doors, leaving a single passageway, open at all times during races, where it becomes the sail locker area.
The dinette has two large sofas to seat six . The galley area is comprised of sink, cook to and oven. Opposite, there is a course plotting table with tilting seat and top opening fridge.
In the stern section is the large master cabin with double bed, accessed through an area with a large wardrobe. Opposite is the bathroom, with a single converting furniture unit onto which the doors between the dinette and the bathroom and between the bathroom and the stern peak, open and lock together to form a seamless wall that creates single space, the main area on the boat. This space serves three purposes: storage peak, thanks to a modular system of specially designed containers; storage for sails during races or, as needed, double cabin with foldaway bunks.
The Materials are all in line with the technological theme behind whole project. The selected material is composite, with a sandwich structure, throughout the construction. The dunnages and some of the horizontal surfaces of the furnishings are treated with special materials to make them similar to treated metals. The interior is given a feel of movement using effects created with tone matt and glass paints.
