The project was carried out jointly by Otto Villani and Alessandro Vismara with his expert owner.
A more modern version of the famous V 52 “Dragon”, but welcoming, with a comfortable family cruising style and a little “vintage”.
The construction is built entirely in wood: the hull is in cedar with carbon reinforcements; the deck is in solid wood with mahogany marine plywood panels, and the deckhouse is in Douglas.
The deck is lined with cork.
A keel with a draft of 2.40 meters is installed under the boat, ideal for entering the harbor by motor and navigating in bays and shallow areas while ensuring high stability thanks to the lead torpedo.
The new generation mast is moved towards the stern resting on the roof of the deckhouse and equipped with only three jibs.
All maneuvers are carried back to the stern on the two electric winches positioned behind the wheelhouse.
The helm station is raised to allow greater visibility forward above the deckhouse roof and features a single 240 cm wheel with central instrument console.
In front of the helm we have two comfortable chairs-sun loungers protected by the roof with a table with opening doors.
The cockpit and the interior of the boat are on the same level, without a ladder.
This arrangement, together with large windows, which give a great brightness to the environment, allow you to look outside at 360 degrees and to navigate and live even indoors.
As soon as we enter the Deck Saloon we find ourselves in front of a large dinette: an inverted U-shaped sofa with a second dining table on the left; on the right side we have the kitchen with tilting gas burners, oven, two fridges, sink with double basin and very spacious countertop.
Continuing towards the bow along the corridor there is the guest cabin on the left with a double bed, wardrobe, on the opposite side a small bathroom.
Further on is the large master cabin with the central bed facing the room facing the bow, wardrobe and private bathroom.
Two outboard motors are installed on the boat at the far stern, not visible on the sides of the tender.
Thanks to these two engines the boat can sail at 12 knots of power and since they are retractable, with more sailing performance.
On the transom there is a manually opened hatch in which, inside, it can accommodate a two-meter-large tender.
It also has functionality as a swimming platform for when you are anchored in the harbor.
All interiors and cabins are bright and airy thanks to the presence of numerous hatches positioned on deck.
A heating and air conditioning system is also installed to be able to experience the boat in both summer and winter.
A very innovative project that combines the classic with the modern giving “a new way to go to sea”…. fast and simple to sail and fast to motor.
