Characteristics

The deck plan has been cleaned up and made simpler: the deckhouse has been lowered, the lines completely led to the cockpit, for example the deckhouse main traveller of mainsail has been moved to the helm wheel and the four winches, previously fitted around the mast, have been moved to the cockpit, leaving a reduced crew more room to move. The Baltic 60 “Mattone” provides the inspiration for the sail locker -fore- with deck access, the splash guard hood that folds away into the deck, and the large living space with cockpit and roomy sunbathing areas. The rigging and construction techniques used for the hull complement one another, each design aimed at light weight, speed and at the same time, robustness and therefore, safety. The rigging is technological: carbon mast without running backstays or fore stays, Main sail, Genoa with little overlap and Staysail. The construction of the hull is typically “Baltic”: GRP sandwich with aeronautical balsa, unidrectional kevlar fibres and glass core.

Interiors

Its style is classical, with well-proportioned layout for the interior. The stern cabin has twin queen-sized beds, a dressing table/desk and bathroom with shower cubicle. Continuing towards the bow is the top side galley, followed by the course plotting area in the dinette, in front of the U-shaped sofa with table. Two twin cabins with bunk beds are located in the bow, each with a bathroom. The interiors are faced with a very pale bleached teak that gives the boat its light, elegant look.
